Available Scholarships

The Dixon Noon Lions is offering a scholarship to a Dixon High School senior. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is March 31, 2019.

The Kiwanis Club of Dixon is offering four $1500 scholarships to students who plan to pursue a degree at a post-secondary institution. Students can be planning to attend either a 2 or 4-year institution. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 1st, 2019.

The Dolph and Karen Ricks Family Scholarship is now available. Applicants must have a 2.0 or higher GPA and must have graduated from Reagan Middle School. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 1st.

The Sterling Moose Family Center Scholarship is now available. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 1st, 2019.

Rotary Scholarships are now available to students who plan to pursue a secondary degree at a 2 or 4 year technical school, college, or university. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 1, 2019.

The Centerstage “Inspire” Fine Arts Scholarship application is now available. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 1st, 2019.

DEA Scholarship Two $500 scholarships are awarded to Dixon High School seniors with a 3.0 or higher GPA, who plan to enroll as a full-time students in any accredited college or university. Selection is based upon financial need, scholarship, and school/community activities. Special consideration is given to DEA dependents and/or education majors. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 1st, 2019.

The James A. Wiltz Focus, Energy and Drive Scholarship application is now available. Applicants must plan to pursue a degree in the field of music education or performance. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 1st, 2019.

Ed Slain Memorial Scholarship One (1) $2000 scholarship awarded to a student with an excellent citizenship record who has a desire to serve his/her community and has financial need. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 1st, 2019.

The Joyce McClintock Memorial Scholarship is being offered to a student who plans to pursue a degree in nursing with an emphasis in patient rights. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 1st, 2019.

Dixon Public School Foundation Post Secondary Scholarship through the generosity of an anonymous donor, the Dixon Public School Foundation has established a scholarship for Dixon High School students who plan on continuing their higher education at a community college, technical school, or a four year university. Applicants will be selected on the basis of need, academic performance, and extracurricular activities. The following criteria must be met to be eligible:
o Enrolled full-time at a community college, technical school, or 4 year university
o Top 50% of graduating class- (Sauk Scholars are not eligible)
o Community involvement
o Extra-Curricular Activities

Ake L Dahlquist Memorial Scholarship a $1500 non-renewable scholarship awarded to a deserving DHS senior who plans to major in Engineering or Business Administration/Management at a 4 year accredited university. Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and submit a typed essay (1 page minimum), explaining why he/she is the best candidate for this scholarship, his/her financial need for the scholarship, his/her reason for choosing the university, his/her goals in life after completing his/her higher education and his/her reasons for choosing engineering as his/her major of study. One letter of recommendation is required and an official transcript. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 1st, 2019.

Eleanor Lessner Memorial Scholarship A $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a Dixon High School Senior who plans to pursue a degree in Business or Business Education. Preference will be given to those students attending Sauk Valley Community College. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 1st, 2019.

William H Jones Scholarship A scholarship will be awarded to a senior in the top ten percent of their class who plans to attend an accredited college or university. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 1st, 2019.

Dixon Evening Lions The Dixon Evening Lions will award two (2) $500 scholarships to graduates who live within the Dixon school district boundaries and who meet the following criteria:
o Have an ocular or auditory disability or are entering a course of study associated with a sight or hearing disability or a related field
o Attend an accredited college or university
o Demonstrate academic ability
o Involved in community service

Elmer & Pauline Adee Scholarship A scholarship has been established through the generosity of Elmer and Pauline Adee to provide $500 for tuition and textbooks for a student who has graduated from Dixon High School. Basis for selection of winner:
o College studies are focused on agriculture or an ag-related field
o Scholarship ability
o School and community activities
o Financial need
o Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 1st, 2019.

Linda Harvey Securda Scholarhsip A $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student who plans to pursue a vocational certificate or a degree in teaching. Applicants must show a need for financial help in pursuing their degree. Applications are available in the counseling office. Applications deadline is April 1st, 2019.

The Emma Hubbs Tennis Club Scholarship application is now available. Applicants must have played tennis their senior year of high school and plan to attend a post-secondary educational institution in the fall. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 1, 2019.

Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) Sauk Valley is pleased to announce the availability of two $500 scholarships for graduating seniors who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender or who are strong allies of the LGBTQI community. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 5th, 2019.

The CGH Auxiliary Scholarship applications are now available for seniors who plan to enroll in a health-related educational programs after high school. Applications are available in the counseling office or atwww.cghmc.com/foundation/scholarships. Application deadline is April 1st, 2019.

The Dixon Quarterback Club Scholarship is now available. This scholarship will be awarded to a Dixon High School senior who plans to enroll as a full-time student in a college, university, military boot camp or trade school. Applicants must have been on the varsity football, cheerleading or dance team. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 1st, 2019.

The Phidian Art Scholarship applications are now available. Applicants must display excellence in the arts and intend to pursue post-secondary education in the arts. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 5, 2019.

The First National Bank in Amboy is offering a $2500 scholarship to a senior who plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 5th, 2019.

The Schoon Scholarship is being offered to seniors who live in Ogle County and plan to pursue a degree at a two or four year institution. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 12, 2019.

The Harry Andrew Ulferts Memorial Scholarship is being offered to a high school senior who resides in Lee County and plans to pursue a career in criminal justice. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 13th, 2019.

The Constituency on Volunteers of the Illinois Health and Hospital Association is offering a scholarship to a senior who plans to pursue a degree in a health-related field. KSB Hospital has released their 2019 scholarship applications. Applicants must be entering a healthcare related field of study after graduation. Applications are available in the counseling office and online at www.ksbhospital.com. Application deadline is April 15th, 2019.

The Reagan Run Scholarship is now available. Applicants must plan to pursue a post-secondary degree at a 2 or 4 year university and have participated in one or more of the following: High School Cross Country, High School Track, or must have participated in one or more road races including a Reagan Run 5K. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is April 19, 2019.

The Rock River Human Resource Professional Association is pleased to offer one annual scholarships for a student pursuing a degree in Business with a major/minor in Human Resources. Applications are available in the counseling office. Application deadline is May 31, 2019.
