Congratulations to Keegan Shirley, Dixon High School’s Student of the Month for April!

SWAP– SWAP Registration is now open.  Visit Athletic Office for more information.

Prom Tickets –Miami Style prom tickets will be on sale April 20-May 1 in the cafeteria at lunch.  Tickets are $60.  Prom is May 9. Guest passes are in the Main Office.

2nd Chance Dress Closet - DHS Prom is fast approaching! In need of a dress and don't have the time to shop? We have a closet full of dresses to shop that are free for you to use. See Mrs. Hopper in the main office to set up a private appointment for you to come and take a look.

DHS Art Exhibit - Dixon High School is proud to announce its first student art exhibit where all students are invited to share their artwork. Held in the main lobby of the high school on April 30th from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, this event aims to display the creativity of the student body. Whether you want to share a favorite project from art class or something you’ve made outside of school, we invite you to share any type of artwork you would like to display! To sign up, scan the QR code on the flyers around the school or on the Dixon schools Instagram and fill out the registration form. The deadline to sign up and bring art in is April 24th.

Blood Drive - Want to help save a life?  Student Council is sponsoring the spring blood drive Friday, May 1st in the small gym from 8:00-12:30.  Please consider donating blood.  All donors will receive a small Jimmy John’s sandwich, Girl Scout Cookies, snacks, and other items such as a t-shirt and $20 e-gift card.  Also, if you sign up and are eligible to donate, you could win one of four $10 gift cards to either Culver's or Dairy Delite!!!  If you’re at least sixteen-years-old and want to help save a life, please stop in the nurse’s office to sign up today.  People need to be signed up by Thursday April 30th at the latest so adequate staffing can be made for the drive!

DHS Spring Greenhouse Sale - The DHS Greenhouse is having a plant sale Friday May 1st from 2:00-5:00, Saturday May 2nd 8:00-12:00 & Sunday May 3rd from 10:00-2:00.  Plants include hanging baskets, a variety of petunias, impatiens, geraniums, ivy geraniums, coleus, portulacas, lantanas, celosia kelos, tomatoes, peppers, and succulents. Hanging baskets are $25-$40 and assorted flowers, tomatoes, peppers, and succulents are $5.  For payments, please bring cash or check made out to “Dixon High School”.  Visit us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/DhsPlants

SVCC Theatre Club - The NEW Sauk Valley Community College Theatre Club presents 'FALLEN APPLES', an original stage play by a local student playwright, Sam Mauch.  May 1st , 2nd , & 3rd -- Friday & Saturday at 7pm ;  Sunday at 2pm - Jerry Mathis Theatre, SVCC. Tickets purchased at the door for $10, CASH ONLY. Come see the show! You will be supporting Dixon High School Alumni that are involved in the production.  'Breakfast Club meets Dracula' when a group of teenagers meet for a late-night horror club on Ash Wednesday, their interest in the sinister comes back to bite them. Ashes, rotten apples, and faith all align in this spine-tingling thriller; orchestrated by a supernatural evil who goes by the name of Malcor... ...Have questions? Music Boosters Mattress Sale - The DPS Music Boosters are hosting a mattress sale on Saturday, May 2nd from 10am-5pm in the Reagan Middle School Gym. Proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to support the music programs at RMS and DHS.  If you are in the market for a new mattress, pillows, or other bedding, please come out! Thank you for your support!

🎓 Athletic College Signing Day Announcement – May 6, 2026 🎓- Join us as we celebrate an exciting milestone for our student-athletes on Athletic College Signing Day, happening Wednesday, May 6, 2026! This special event recognizes the hard work, dedication, and achievements of our athletes as they take the next step in both their academic and athletic journeys.

📅 Date: Wednesday, May 6, 2026
📍Location: Lancaster Gym (After Award Ceremony)
Time: 7pm

Important Details for Participants: Sign up in the Athletic Office to reserve your spot. Each student-athlete who signs up will be provided with a table & chairs for their parents/siblings.  Participants are responsible for decorating their table the night of the event—get creative and represent your future college!  Student athletes are encouraged to wear apparel representing their future school. Family, friends, and staff are all invited to attend and celebrate as these athletes officially sign their commitment.  🎉 We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Senior Picnic – Seniors, join your classmates for a Senior Picnic May 20, after graduation practice, on the DHS greenhouse lawn.  Come relax, have fun and enjoy your final moments at DHS.  Hotdog lunch and yard games provided.
