Student Council is sponsoring a spirit week. Dress up days are:
- Monday, PJ Day
- Tuesday, Red (Underclassmen) vs Pink (Upperclassmen) **Staff choice of Red or Pink
- Wednesday, Twin Day
- Thursday, Sweetheart Day (Freshman – Green, Sophomore – White, Junior – Blue, Senior – Red, Staff – Purple)
- Friday, Love Your Team Day

Young Adult Librarians at Dixon Public Library - The first meeting of the newly formed Teen Advisory Board at the Dixon Public Library will meet Monday, February 9th from 3:15-4:15p in the TAD room. Students will meet once per quarter to discuss a variety of library-related content such as teen programming ideas, library improvements and more! There is no sign-up required, but teens who are particularly members of SVCC’s IMPACT Program can earn volunteer hours. Snacks will be provided!
WACC CEO Program applications are now open. Students wishing to participate in the Whiteside CEO program next year must complete an application and be accepted into the program. The application can be found at https://www.wacc-ceo.com/applynow/application. The deadline to submit the application is February 28th, 2026. See your counselor if you have any questions.
📣 Calling All Future Football Cheerleaders! Tryouts for next year’s football cheer team will be held March 9–12 from 4:30–6:00 PM in the DHS Cafeteria. Packet Pickup in Athletic Office.
Junior girls interested in attending the American Legion Auxiliary Illini Girls State should speak with Mrs. Ebert in the counseling office. This event takes place June 21-27th in Charleston, IL on the campus of Eastern Illinois University. Applicants should be in the top 10% of the class and have good character and leadership skills. More information can be found at www.alaigs.org. If interested, please submit your name to the counseling office by Friday, February 20th.
Blood Drive - The winter blood drive date has been changed to Monday, March 2nd. More information will be provided in a couple weeks.
