The AP Spanish Language and Honors Spanish 3 classes went on a field trip to Chicago to see two professional Hispanic Flamenco Ballet performances. The music, dancing, singing, and costumes were stellar, and the students enjoyed it immensely. Both shows gave students the opportunity to join the professional dancers on stage later during the show. Some students learned a bit of flamenco, others a bit of salsa and still others some Latin moves. Afterwards, the students enjoyed a meal at a Mexican restaurant. Some tried new foods for the first time such as head and tongue tacos as well as new drinks such as apple soda, jamaica, and horchata. Overall, it was a wonderful cultural experience!
